Since childhood, Raden Agung has had a deep interest in art, inheriting the artistic talent from his mother. The interest became more directed when he began to seriously study music in the 3rd grade of junior high school in Palembang, with the guitar as the main instrument that caught his attention.
In 1995, Raden Agung studied higher education at the Jakarta Institute of Arts (IKJ), Faculty of Performing Arts, majoring in Music, with a focus on classical guitar. During his studies, the wide network that he built in the campus environment made him often trusted to accompany the IKJ student theater and dance performance exams.
In 2000, he deepened the knowledge of composition with Indonesian composers Otto Sidharta and Haryo 'Yose' Suyoto, followed by learning from Dutch composer Carlos Micháns—who until now still has a professional relationship—as well as Piet Hein van de Pool who guided him in the creation of electronic music (soundscape). A number of his contemporary works have been staged in various countries, including in the European Continent and America.
Graduated from IKJ in 2002, Raden Agung continues to actively work and collaborate with Indonesian artists across fields, especially as a music composer for various media, especially films. Outside of his activities in the world of film music, he also appeared as a keyboard player in the band group Methosa and Imanissimo, and served as a conductor of the Orkestra 73 in various performances.
