Radu Sirbu is a versatile figure in the music industry, serving as a singer, songwriter, and record producer. His journey began in 1994 at the age of 16, when he embarked on his musical career as a DJ and vocalist.
In 2001, Radu joined the renowned pop-band "O-Zone," propelling them to immense popularity both domestically and internationally. With chart-topping hits like "Despre tine" and "Dragostea din tei," O-Zone captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. Notably, "Dragostea din tei" dominated European singles charts in 2004, selling over 15 million albums globally, including in Japan. Its monumental success led to a 25-week reign atop various international charts, including the United Kingdom, and even served as a sample for T.I. and Rihanna's Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper, "Live Your Life," in late 2008.
In April 2024, David Guetta and One Republic released a remake of "Dragostea din tei" titled "I Don't Want Wanna Wait."
In 2011, Radu Sirbu co-founded "Rassada Music" alongside Sirbu Ana (Sianna), an indie record label, recording studio, and music publishing company. Under this banner, he has produced and written music for a diverse array of artists, including Sianna, Loredana Groza, Nico, Dee-Dee, Lorina, Nestea, Leonid Rudenko, Victoria Daineko, Ray Horton, Shahzoda, Grupa Fabrica, Grupa Korni, DJ Layla, Mr&Ms, Natalia Barbu, and numerous others.
Presently, Radu continues to contribute to the music industry as a singer, composer, and music producer.
