Rafat Hauque is a songwriter, guitar player and singer from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to going solo, he co-founded Charkoal, an underground rock band from Bangladesh where he played as the lead guitarist. The band was part of the largest band mixed album in Bangladesh scene (Hatiar) during CD era.
His debut single titled Give Me a Kiss was Radio Shadhin's top chart for four weeks during 2015. After a brief break, he has been working on releasing singles. Among his released singles, songs like Gloom and Moonlight garnered some attention and critical acclaim in the Bangladeshi Indie scene.
As a songwriter and guitar player, he is inspired by artists like Mark Knopfler, Scott Matthews, Gary Moore, Jackson Browne, John Mayer, Ray LaMontagne, Tommy Emmanuel & Keith Urban.
