Rağmen

Rağmen is a duo that defines itself through atmospheric and hypnotic sounds, combining electronic music with melancholic vocals, predominantly using analog equipment. The project began at the end of 2019, when Hakan Kılınç started producing the music and writing the lyrics. Soon after, his school friend Orçun Demirağlı joined as the vocalist. With the collaboration of the two, the sound matured further, and in 2020, they officially decided to form Rağmen. Over time, their sound evolved, leading to the release of their first EP, ''Aralık'', in 2024.

The ''Aralık'' EP consists of five tracks that offer imaginary representations of stories connected through intermittent phases. The music focuses on the effects of existing within cycles, habits, dilemmas, and crises.

"In early 2025, Rağmen released ''Sen Bir Yerde'', a track about a consciousness lost in the search for a missing desire, where, upon finding that desire, the past and reality are felt simultaneously."

"In May 2025, Rağmen released ''Halimi Bir Görsen'', offering a melancholic expression of an invisible yet perceptible reality, conveyed through a sense of alienation from language."
