Rey Anvio, better known by his stage name Rai Anvio, is a genre-bending and sound-f*cking music producer, vocalist, and performer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Born in Bali, his love for music ignited early but exploded after seeing Kanye West’s Stronger music video. Since then, he's been obsessed with fusing hip-hop with electronic, dance, stoner rock, post-punk, alt-pop, and more—pushing boundaries with every sound he touches.
His journey wasn’t always easy, but it's been filled with milestones. Since 2021, he’s released singles like NET BEEF!, T.CHAL, and PURA. Despite a small discography, his unique take on hip-hop earned attention in the local scene. He’s also part of Jakarta Tenggelam, alongside BAP., Dzulfahmi, Basboi, Tacbo, Kink Yosev, YG Juju, and ENVY*.
After a run of shows and drops in 2023, Rai stepped back to focus on life while quietly crafting new music. Recognizing his potential, BAP. signed him to Bosan Records. In 2024, he re-emerged on Noni’s Reckless, showcasing his versatility in the realm of pop.
That same year, he began work on his debut EP Magic Death Music—a raw, fantastical dive into highs, lows, and fear of becoming what he once despised. Rai rejects convention, steering hip-hop into new, avant-garde territory with trap, glitchcore, dub reggae, R&B, and more. “Yeah, my beats are cool, but I also got some sh*t to say.”
