RĀI

RĀI (pronounced Ray) is a singer, songwriter from Gadsden, SC. His music is a vibe. He infuses elements of both new and traditional R&B to create music that is timeless. RĀI's musical roots are grounded and anchored in the emotions of southern gospel and southern soul music. He sees each song as a piece of art that is influenced more by his life and experiences and not just by what's "hot" and "trending". With his latest project, "Love's on the Way" he sought to create an album like the albums he enjoyed growing up. "Nowadays people rarely listen to full albums from beginning to end. I wanted to create something with such a strong vibe that once you pressed play you would just let it ride." Although studied and trained as a classical singer, his passion is contributing musically to the longevity of good soul/R&B music. In the ever-changing world of music driven by technology and metrics, RĀI believes good music with good lyrics and a really good vibe not only appeals to a broad audience but ultimately never goes out of style.
