Railster

Railster is the musical alias of Andrea Uliana, an artist active since 2003, whose work bridges hip hop and electronic music through various technologies. Over the years, he has released multiple EPs and collaborated with artists such as Ghemon (Gilmar), Egreen, Doro Gjat, Portformat, and Swede:Art. He has also created audio content for brands like Nike (featuring Sara Gama) and visual artists in the NFT space including MattiaC and Adriano Attus (Il Sole 24 Ore).

His live performances are immersive journeys—spiritual, urban, and experimental—featuring selected sounds from his archive, blended live using devices like the SP404, dub sirens, and other electronic tools to create evolving, textured soundscapes.

Defrag System is the result of a personal artistic and musical journey spanning over two decades. What remains after all this time? The urge to push beyond the limits of daily influences and routines. This project continues a reflection on how we use our time—standing in quiet opposition to the urgency of modern life.

Like a process of defragmentation and optimisation of empty space, the album aims to preserve and refine the best of lived experiences, capturing fragmented emotions and memories in the form of a musical diary.
