Finland’s Räjäyttäjät (Rae-ya-oot-ta-yat... and ROLL that R) first got together in 2011. In time for their 15th anniversary, they have a new album out on 18 April 2025: THE PSYCHEDELIC GREY BAG.
The double-album aptly features 15 new songs written by each of the band’s members: Alex Reed (drums and vocals), Mikko Siltanen (bass and vocals), and Jukka Nousiainen (guitar and vocals).
The music ranges from psychedelic folk, across progressive pastures, through a medieval garage, and over insane noise… towards the future – all guided by the mostly steady hand of rock’n’roll.
The Psychedelic Grey Bag brings together work recorded over the last five years in various studios across Central Finland, and the whole package was carefully welded together by Master and Mixer, Pekka Tuomi in Mäyrä Studios, Luhanka.
