Ramses Van den Eede is a melancholic romantic, an ethically non-monogamous person who allows himself to be surrounded by love and therefore also by sadness and loss. Where his previous work (as the singer of the experimental band Hypochristmutreefuzz) may still feel distant and inaccessible, he now employs his fragility as a form of radical expression against a harsh world and the imposition of masculinity. Inspired by greats such as Harry Nilsson, he now composes piano-driven songs in a naive manner, endeavoring to breathe new life into clichés with a slightly ironic touch and a bold nod to crooners and cocktail jazz.
