Rashid Kay is a South African Hip Hop artist, from the city of Johannesburg. He has a heavy catalogue released under his own label, HNIC Productions. Rashid has collaborated with other heavyweight musicians such as Cassper Nyovest, Big Zulu, Zakwe, Proverb, Zuluboy, Gigi LaMayne amongst others. Rashid is also a TV producer who has worked on notable shows such a Shi Niz/Shiz Live on etv, Yo.tv on SABC 1, 1's And 2's on SABC 1, One Mic on SABC 1, and is also a radio broadcaster who has presented shows on Metro FM, Ukhozi FM and 1 africa Radio.
Rashid Kay is one of the organisers of Back To The City Festival, the biggest Hip Hop festival in Africa, and the South African Hip Hop Awards (SAHHA)
