Fueled by his Afro-Latin heritage, Rauli V’s compositions blend Punk with the Urban Latin Culture. He was born in NYC and his journey with music began in Santo Domingo which now continues on in the DMV, specifically PG County. As a kid, Rauli turned to music as an escape from labels and quickly realized, “Music doesn’t care where you are from… it only cares to connect you with others who feel the same as you”.
His Debut EP “Breathe” was well received adding Rauli to the roster of new black Alternatives making a change for the masses in the underground scene. Afro-punk called him “Anthemic” while on YouTube his visual on "Can't Feel" soared within the first two weeks. After releasing his EP he followed up with his first single of 2022 “ENVY” which catapulted his sound spotlighting the Black & Brown communities that drive the scene forward.
Now in 2023 Rauli V is set to have the most anticipated year fully crossing into the Latin scene starting with “Te Bote” which New Noise Magazine named this track one of his most versatile songs released to date “With a unique blend of rock and Latin trap, this song is a testament to the strength and resilience of the Dominican rock scene”. From selling out venues to pushing the Rock genre to space it’s never filled before he is here it make noise with out asking for permission.
