Formed in Montreal in 2014, Raveen as a trio has flourished into a united entity since releasing their debut full-length Always in 2017. That record marked their foray into more subdued, lush songwriting and a grandiose approach to arrangement with orchestral strings, choir work and field recording. Collaborations with friends Gayance and THe LYONZ gave the group a chance to expose the sound of Montreal’s eclectic pre-pandemic music scene. After years separated by visa issues, the pandemic and more, Raveen finally released their sophomore record Forever in 2024. This album presented a more refined sound with favourites Chipping Away and She's Great and All... emerging as standouts. The group’s notable live performances are evocative of Jeff Buckley's dynamic peaks-and-valleys approach, while blending electronics and live instrumentation in new, innovative ways. For fans of Pony Girl, Braids, Caribou, Moses Sumney and Radiohead.
