Raven blends smooth vocals and soulful beats backed by shades of sweet saxophone. The project began when Raven met Montreal-based producer FabJ, and the pair teamed up to release Raven’s first EP “Some Kind of Solace” in 2019. Following the release Raven collaborated with reggae/R&B artist Jonathan Emile on a remix of her song “Lavender”, which was distributed by Tuff Gong International (Bob Marley), and premiered on the popular Marvin’s Room on CBC Radio One. Raven's sound has been described as “Norah Jones meets Snoh Aalegra while also bringing forth a style reminiscent of Julia Stone” (blog, City Soundcheck).
