Ravika

North Queensland-via-Sydney artist Ravika creates what she calls “paradise pop”. Serving
as a reflection of her cultural and musical identities, she merges together 90s pop and world
influences with her Fijian-Indian heritage and the deep inspiration she finds in her home of
tropical North Queensland to deliver evocative, warm and carefree pop with a whole lot of heart.

Inspired by ROSALIA, Kim Petras, Hayley Kiyoko, Wafia and All Saints, Ravika has already
carved out a space for herself both as a solo act and as part of Sydney band Froyo. Not only
going onto take out Triple J’s Unearthed competition to open The Plot, Froyo also supported
the likes of Alice Ivy, Harts, Running Touch, Nyxen, Ngaiire and Yeo (with whom she even performed a duet).

Under her solo moniker, Ravika has garnered some notable fans including that of
Lonelyspeck and Cheekbone after supporting them at their Townsville date in 2019, but also
the team at Future Classic who added her 2019 single, ‘Monsoon’, to their Recommends
YouTube playlist. Now, in 2020, Ravika is set to only expand this even further with the upbeat, tropical bliss of ‘Cocobella’.
