Born in the Dominican Republic but raised in the Bronx, rapper Raimer "Ray Bop" Mendoza exploded on the scene in 2012 thanks to his dropping of some 35 releases, all at once. Influenced by the likes of Nas and Jay-Z, the rapper signed with MVB Entertainment in 2011. A year later, MVB released ten Ray Bop mixtapes, along with 25 singles. He was off the label in 2014 and formed his own Cash Hungry Records imprint, which released his "Gorgeous Hustle II : Ambitious Living" album that same year. In 2015, he started battle rapping as "RAYBOP FROM THA BRONX" for the Brooklyn-based battle rap league WeGohardTV, which is run by Willie Bell aka City. He presently has 17 battles cataloged, totaling 121,739 views, with two of those battles airing on the URLTV YouTube Channel, also known as The Ultimate Rap League, the world's most respected MC battle arena. However, he is still hesitant about returning to battle rap because he is focused on completing his story as a musician. Now, eleven years later, he is trying to complete his Gorgeous Hustle trilogy. In addition to releasing an instrumental album named "Nothing Is Anything" and the much-awaited album "Gorgeous Hustle III: The Mystic," which will be preceded by "The Len Bias Tape" and "Like Water For Candlelight," he is establishing a magazine for writers and enthusiasts called Penacle.
