Ray Gunnz – Sound Engineer, Producer, and DJ
Music has always been my heartbeat. Growing up in Brooklyn — between Brighton Beach and Coney Island — the sound of music was a constant in my home. I can still remember making mixtapes with two cassette decks, recording DJ Red Alert off the radio, and getting lost in the rhythm. Once I got my hands on a pair of turntables, there was no turning back.
At 15, I started DJing at a little spot in Sheepshead Bay. From that moment on, I was hooked. I played anywhere and everywhere I could — not for the money, but for the sheer love of it. Watching people dance, smile, and forget their troubles, even for a little while, reminded me why I do this. Music isn’t just what I create; it’s what keeps me grounded.
But passion has a way of pushing you further. As time passed, I knew I wanted to do more than just spin tracks — I wanted to make them. Producing became my next chapter. Every day, I strive to learn, grow, and refine my craft. The journey isn’t always easy, but it’s one I wouldn’t trade for anything.
Now, I’m here to share that journey with you. Every beat I make and every set I perform is a reflection of my story — a story I hope you’ll join me for.
Music is my daily, and it always will be.
