American hip-hop artist Ray Knowledge, born Raymond Anderson in Alexandria, Louisiana moved to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 23 where he began his music career. Raised in a single parent home, Ray has experienced plenty of ups and downs in his life. Those experiences coupled with his faith in God, is what shapes the direction of his music. To further his knowledge in music, he attended Full Sail University where he graduated with a degree in Audio Production.
Although Ray never thought that rapping would be in his future, music has always been a part of his life. He played in the band in middle school where he excelled in it. He even made the all state band. Although music was easy and fun for him, he dropped out of the band once he arrived to high school due to his involvement in street related activities. Now removed from that lifestyle, he is once again pursuing music through rap.
Using melodic vibes, tight flows, and crafty lyrics, Ray paints the picture of his life experiences through the lens of his faith. His style was heavily influenced by artists such as Z-Ro, Lil Wayne, and T.I. As an independent artist, he has released two projects over the past three years. He has multiple singles and an EP that will be dropping soon, in which he feels is his best music so far. Be on the look out for big things coming from this artist on the rise.
