Beatrice Zara aka Rayna ( singer outta Antiplastic ) was born in Italy, by italian parents of Brazilian and Slav origins.She first developed a passion for funk and soul as a child, largely due to her fathers vinyl collection. From these humble beginnings was born her desire to sing and her love for black music, hip hop and many other diverse genres of music.In 2007, she moved to Florence to study, yet continued to sing and has since collaborated with many different Italian and foreign artists, over the years, singing in different styles, tunes and languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish) and on many diverse forms of music, from Hip-hop/Soul up to the broken sound of the Glitc-hop, as well as BassMusic like Dubstep, Drum&Bass, Elettro-Swing, Mombahton and Kuduro. Currently working on a new live band called "Antiplastic", which consists of the union of four different artists including the creator of the label Tuzzy, the drummer Donald Renda, the singer Rayna and the bassist Federico Cioni. This trio, energetic and close-knit, is a mash up of new sounds ranging from dubstep grime to instrumental dub. The sound is a fusion of percussion and electronic, a different mix that is not often heard in Italy, but is much appreciated abroad.
