RCKSTR launched his project in 2011, performing as a DJ at local underground parties in northern Italy.
After a year at the console, he decided to relocate to London: here his creativity would be able flourish and absorb the nuances of the UK’s multifaceted underground electronic music scene, its musical freedom, clubs, and after-parties. After spending two years abroad, he moved back to Italy with an enriched musical repertoire which he was ready to share in clubs, parties, such as Magazzini Generali (Milan), Orion/Nrg Club (Rome) and official after parties for Amore festival (Rome) to name a few.
His original sound was thus further defined: a Techno and Acid skeleton, with strong Electro and House influences, and echoes of his musical roots in Punk and Rock – this amalgamation of genres manifests itself in his music as a hypnotic harsh sound with a pounding rhythm, and comes to life on stage in hybrid performances which combine irresistible DJ sets and live sets, setting fire to the dancefloor.
In August 2017 he released his debut EP “ACIIID FRIDAY”, signed under Afro Acid – a label managed by DJ Pierre, a visionary pioneer of the Acid movement. ACIIID FRIDAY went on to gain a place among Beatport’s Top 100 House releases.
