R&D, AKA "DarkSkinRomeo", is a singer, rapper, and songwriter out of Los Angeles, California. He first began to pursue music in 2012 after moving from Orange County to LA on a scholarship to Loyola Marymount University’s College of Business Administration. He would go on to receive his Bachelor's degree in Marketing, deciding to pursue a full-time career as an artist in the music industry rather than take the more conventional corporate route. Since beginning his musical journey, R&D has created and released a wide range of singles, albums, and music videos, as well as having performed and sold out countless shows at The Peppermint Club, Adults Only, Los Globos, and The Roosevelt Hotel, among many other historic Los Angeles venues. His break out single “King” amassed more than 245,000 streams in it’s first month on Spotify alone! R&D is grounded in his inherent belief that creative expression has the power to spread hope, joy, and positivity around the world.
