For over two decades, Rebecca Haviland has captivated audiences with her powerful vocals and introspective songwriting. As the dynamic frontwoman of Whiskey Heart, alongside renowned musicians like Chris Anderson (Martin Sexton), Kenny Shaw (Dispatch), Todd Caldwell (Crosby, Stills & Nash), and Nicky Barbato, she seamlessly blends Roots Rock, Soul, and Americana. A native New Yorker, Haviland's musical journey began in her grandparents' musical sanctuary, where impromptu jam sessions fueled her passion. After high school, an internship at Acme Studios led to a life-changing opportunity to record an EP, marking the start of her enduring career. Whiskey Heart's 2013 debut album won accolades in the International Songwriting and Unsigned Only Competitions. Their 2018 album Bright City Lights, produced by Don DiLego, was praised by Paste Magazine as “hauntingly beautiful.” The band has since recorded live albums at the iconic Sun Studio and released the 2022 holiday album A Holiday to Remember. Beyond the stage, Haviland has spent over a decade inspiring the next generation of musicians as a professor at Purchase College’s Music Conservatory. Currently, she is finalizing a new album set for a 2025 release, with the first single “Monday Night” dropping on September 13th, 2024, followed by the EP Late Nights on November 15th, 2024, influenced by icons like Aretha Franklin and Linda Ronstadt.
