Rebecca Lou makes pop with an authenticity and rawness like few others. She has a unique talent for writing lyrics and melodies that stick to your brain, and she delivers them with a voice that is both raw and heartfelt.
On her upcoming 3rd album, she shows a more honest and vulnerable side. This is clearly seen in the focustrack 'Heaven or Hell':
"Where I may have previously written quite metaphorically, ‘Heaven and Hell’ is a little more direct and a little more honest. I've tried to peel away a few more layers – both in the musical image, in the production and in the lyrics”.
Rebecca Lou released her debut EP ‘Skeletons’ in 2018 and played her first show at Roskilde Festival in 2019. Since then, Rebecca Lou has been touring Denmark, Germany, Austria and London, and playing shows at SPOT Festival (DK), Reeperbahn Festival (DE), Waves Vienna (AT), Livebeat at P6 Beat, Gaffaprisen 2020 and at her own headliner tour in Denmark.
Rebecca Lou's single 'Lovesick' was elected to ‘Ugens uundgåelige’ by P3,
and her album 'Heavy Metal Feelings' from 2021 received a five-star rating
review by GAFFA, the same month Rebecca Lou graced the cover
of the magazine. For the same album, Rebecca Lou also won the Carl award in the category 'Rock Composer of the Year'.
