Xikhongelo Jones Chauke
also known as 'Record L Jones' is a seasoned Dj/producer with 15 years
of training and acquiring a unique skill set of
music production in its entirety.
He believes in music and its healing properties
and has set out this journey into the music industry with
mindset to make it, with hard work , consistency commitment
and diligence as his core motto.
His unique style of music production
sets him apart and makes him stand out.
He studied
internet engineering and computer technical support at
Rosebank College and completed his studies, with music as
his ultimate goal in mind. Record L jones gained popularity in
college when he won the Rosebank National Dj Showdown
and soon after, became the resident dj at
Rosebank College, taking inspiration from dj such as
Christos, Dj Fresh and Vinny Da Vincy. Record L Jones then
studied music at MC Art School in The State Theatre to
learn the history and basic fundamentals of music.
With the a new found skill and a zeal to polish his craft ,
he learnt under the mentorship of
Jerry Mogots i, a reputable pianist and music graduate, all
the skills of playing keys in genres of jazz and blues
being his focal points. Record L jones is now making his
way into mainstream with hits that leave
you dancing on the spot, and he has only just begun.
