<a href="spotify:artist:4fL7BRt3YmdsvR19OCbwMK" data-name="Redshft">Redshft</a> is the alias of Adel Manji, a 22-year-old producer, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. They are also a photographer and multimedia artist. They were born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, and are still currently based there. Growing up, Adel was classically trained on piano and began experimenting with electronic music production and songwriting in high school.
Adel's first two albums <a href="spotify:album:1bWoX7nRtE3EH0borgU19c" data-name="The Static Rift">The Static Rift</a> and <a href="spotify:album:2bjywnrLC4ckWb7D71WAtK" data-name="Canendeyo">Canendeyo</a> were mostly comprised of preliminary experimentation with vocals and unorthodox song structure and instrumentation as well as sampling.
<a href="spotify:album:1oddr5Ll8PgcGpLpajXnfW" data-name="Radiant Blue">Radiant Blue</a> was Adel's third record, as well as their first foray into a more vocal-focused style, blending electronic music with alternative rock and pop to create a unique concept album that featured layered synthesizers and guitars, stuttering rhythms, and unique production. Following <a href="spotify:album:1oddr5Ll8PgcGpLpajXnfW" data-name="Radiant Blue">Radiant Blue</a>, their fourth album <a href="spotify:album:1oUlC7kYLaWYAnAgQ0ImrC" data-name="Empathy">Empathy</a> was quite a departure from their previous artistic trajectory, being a fully instrumental ambient soundscape.
Their fifth album <a href="spotify:album:36xwM3i1ZLVvo5wW7lPKEU" data-name="These Summer Skies">These Summer Skies</a> is a return to their vocal-focused sound featuring elements of chill pop, r&b as well as indie rock. Their most recent album <a href="spotify:album:3WScwwuYo90KQtvgfCv3bA" data-name="Dissociating on the Highway">Dissociating on the Highway</a> features collaborations with <a href="spotify:artist:6gMy9KFttpWK5BBBITJGls" data-name="U-SIF">U-SIF</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5nqjAIVZFannXrOQhw7M72" data-name="Noise Hotel">Noise Hotel</a> while also being the culmination of various artistic ventures into a heavily electronic, yet vocal forward collection of ballad-esque tracks while also offering danceable rhythms and surreal fervor.
