Rees Finley

Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, singer/songwriter, Rees Finley, released his debut Album, “<a href="spotify:album:1lmpzqqrcJvdZwJurwlX2z" data-name="A Tale Told by an Idiot">A Tale Told by an Idiot</a>” in June 2019. Rick Koster at &#34;The Day&#34; remarked, &#34;Finley is young but immensely gifted and seems to have grown up with a fine and influential diet of excellent and energized melodists.&#34; Introduced to music as a pianist in his youth, Rees began by emulating his songwriting heroes, Elton John, The Beatles, and Freddie Mercury. In his teens, he taught himself guitar, bass, and drums, inspired by one-man-band musicians such as Prince, Paul McCartney, and Elliott Smith. Several difficult years of playing in various bands inspired Rees&#39; first solo single, &#34;<a href="spotify:track:0KKWB1WexWzw28e8ipxzSq" data-name="The Band Broke Up">The Band Broke Up</a>&#34; in 2017 which Buffablog praised as an &#34;infectious ode to the downtrodden&#34;. The intricate songwriting elements even sometimes feel like Queen.&#34; While on stage, Rees plays drums, guitar and piano, in combination with live-looping to create unique solo arrangements for his performances.
