Nacido en Monterrey, México. Refugee, mejor conocido como Refu o Gera, es un productor, compositor, artista y fundador del colectivo de artistas 'No Pedi Permiso' y después el colectivo LCC (La Contra Corriente).
Desde niño siempre encontró refugio en la música y empezó tocando batería e inventando melodías y composiciones en el piano prestado de su hermana.
A los 15 años conoció a su amigo 'nsqk' con quien luego fundaría el sello 'No Pedí Permiso'. En 2022 fundó el nuevo colectivo llamado 'La Contra Corriente' (LCC) que se distinguió por sacar un mixtape al mes.
Gera siempre disfrutó estar detrás de escenas y ghost-produciendo para artistas. Sus actuales proyectos incluyen: 'Southboys', 'Cookiez', su propio proyecto personal 'Refugee', y su alterego 'Refubeats'.
At three years old he first started playing the drums and piano.
In 2018 he formed his first collective named ''No Pedi Permiso''.
Now in 2025, Gera is back stronger than ever. He creates music for himself and his collective label ''LCC'' or ''La Contra Corriente''. He manages his own artist project ''Refugee'', as well as producing monthly albums for the collective ''LCC''. He is the main producer, mixing engineer, and composer in all his projects. He produces and sings for the boyband ''Cookiez''. And he also produces and sings in the duo ''Southboys''. His new alter ego ''Refubeats'' is intended to be another way for Gera to express himself.
