Vestlandsfanden is Norway's oldest and best folk rock band. They have released 16 albums and many singles. 3-4000 thousand gigs since starting in 1979. Frontman is Reidar Brendeland. He writes all songs, plays guitar, harmonica and sings. Over the years, there have been a number of well-known musicians and fiddlers in the group. The only permanent member and driving force is Reidar Brendeland. He has also produced most of the group's albums. Vestlandsfanden has been associated with Universal Music, but today runs its own record company, studio and management, Rockfarm Music.
