Hailing from the suburbs of Washington, D.C., Remi was drawn to many creative mediums at a young age. After having watched her older sister perform locally in the late 90's/early 2000's, she quickly fell in love with music. Remi was classically trained in Piano and Music Theory at age 7, and taught her self vocal techniques throughout her childhood. Having been inspired by various genres of music, Remi's style is often regarded as experimental, alt-r&b, and neo-soul.
She studied various mediums of art at CAU and SCAD. Her musical career began after dropping out of college in 2016. After a plethora of unfulfilling jobs, she began uploading covers to YouTube, which yielded generally positive responses. Her voice can be heard on Netflix's "Always Be My Maybe" alongside fellow artist Plato III.
Remi's music runs parallel to her own spirituality and observation. As Remi progresses spiritually, so does her art. In 2021, she released her first self-produced EP 'MAGENTA', which explores the nuances of love, self love, self awareness, mental health, and a hint of magic!
