Remnant Crusade is a one-man cinematic rock band from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The “one man” in question is Destry Hergert, a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and songwriter. A storyteller at heart, every song Destry writes is narratively driven, forming each album’s larger story and spanning his entire discography. Transcending the medium of music, the account of the Remnant is further explored through writing, artwork, and cinema, creating an overarching lore carried through each work.
Destry was born in Seattle, where he was involved in choir and musical performances. Since moving to Coeur d’Alene, he has played for nearly a decade with different worship bands and DJ’d hundreds of events. When not writing music or performing, he can be found teaching others the musical skills he has garnered from both professional and autodidactic training.
Destry’s sound has been influenced by diverse artists, including Starset, Jacob Collier, Skillet, Twenty One Pilots, and Linkin Park.
