Remood's sound moves freely across vivid bass- and beats-focused electronica music with emotional dramaturgy – but always a hip swing away from solid genre classification. Personally and openly, he experiments with musical influences shaped by everything that carries beat, bass, and soul.
The idea of guiding thought and emotion into narrow paths has long been abandoned. Instead, Remood creates music that is proudly non-minimalist, embracing a layered, narrative-rich approach. The world around him becomes the paint set on which he draws – and it shows, layer by layer: melancholic harmonies, field recordings from the bittersweet semi-province of his hometown, playful jazzy passages, multi-layered beats with natural swing, warm, deep basslines, and an organic, hand-crafted synth- and sample-world. It’s music that feels textured and imperfect – like a memory.
Avoiding repetition without losing touch, his approach values intuition and narrative over trend.
His 2016 debut EP Almost Gone on Jena’s Freude am Tanzen label was the first signal of what’s to come.
His forthcoming album Desvio (out 20 June 2025) is the first LP to continue this journey, telling stories of detours, beauty and brokenness, both sonically and visually.
