Born in les Vosges (France) in 1956, he is an admirer of, among others, Leonard Cohen, Philip Glass and Manos Hadjidakis, and a self-taught guitarist.
Composer for Dance, Theater and occasionally Cinema, he released 27 albums between 1988 and 2018.
These albums include hints of his collaboration with C. Carlson and with the puppet master Philippe Genty, film soundtracks, but also his personal sound experiments ranging from raw and minimalist acoustic melodies. They are the result of a unique chemistry between unplugged instruments, electronic sounds and computer programming music.
Between 2009 and 2019 he composed soundtracks for 7 films commissioned by the BBC and produced by Magic Light Pictures: «The Gruffalo », « The Gruffalo’s Child », « Room On The Broom », “ Stick Man” (2017 Kidscreen best music AWARD), “The Highway Rat”, “Zog” and "The Snail And The whale".
October 2019: Soundtrack of "La Fameuse Invasion Des Ours En Sicile" an animation film directed by Lorenzo Mattotti.
