Rene Russell and The Bottom End have a message for you: you have the power to change your circumstances and make your world a better place. That is the message laid out in their debut record, Dream The World Anew, and it is the motto in which the South Carolina musician lives her life. Playing acoustic Americana-Rock with hints of Bluegrass & Reggae undertones, Rene Russell plays her Taylor 12-string in a distinctive percussive finger-picking/claw-hammer style, while Chris Blackwell backs her with drums and Jamie Lupini keeps the groove on bass. Vocally, Rene, has been compared to Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Natalie Merchant/10,000 Maniacs, and Melissa Etheridge.
