Award winning and critically acclaimed singer songwriter Renée Lamoureux was nominated for a 2020 Juno Award for her album EMPOWER. Renée is about to release her 10th studio album entitled HumanKIND.
Renée’s sound crosses between adult contemporary, pop and country, with a voice uniquely ranging from soulfully powerful to sweet and gentle. Her lyrics often speak of empowerment, embodying words of strength, and encouragement.
Renée is the recipient of the 2016 Best Female Artist of the Year Award-Manitoba Country Music Awards (MCMA) and has garnered numerous nominations including Indigenous Music Awards. Her single 'Two Step' reached #1 in the Indigenous Music Countdown and her music continues to widely stream on Sirius XM. In 2019, she performed at BIGSOUND in Brisbane, Australia alongside Indigenous artists Twin Flames and Snotty Nose Rez Kids. She also took part of the national performance at the Indigenous Music Day Live event on June 20, 2021 and made a special appearance singing with Buffy St Marie.
Previously, Renée was part of a duo Keith and Renee and, toured across North America supporting major artists such as Jann Arden, Dean Brody, Dallas Smith, and High Valley. She contributed her philanthropy work overseas, and performed concerts in Kenya, Africa and Dubai. Her music has been placed in AT&T commercials, Degrassi the Next Generation and Degrassi Goes Hollywood.
