Filipino-Canadian rapper and producer Renzo was born in Vancouver, BC, but lived most of his life within the outer city of Surrey, BC. He has been dubbed many things such as "The Prodigy" and "Kid Wonder" amongst his contemporaries. Only makes sense considering he's been rapping and producing since he was only 14. Under the mentorship of his older brother, <a href="spotify:artist:7JmS3nakxKTnYrTYaToF4U" data-name="Chris Franco">Chris Franco</a>, he quickly progressed in his craft, arguably surpassing those older, and who've been in the game longer than him.
His prodigious status also stems from his versatility. Primarily a rapper, he can take a page out of his older brother's book and incorporate melodies into his tracks as well. Look no further than his rage induced EP "<a href="spotify:album:3U4aStyJ0ang2KOaPuL4cz" data-name="OH MY DAYS!">OH MY DAYS!</a>" which contrasts greatly with a recent single "<a href="spotify:album:6z1HI3YpP3nGV5ULuaGeOL" data-name="Can't Let You Go">Can't Let You Go</a>" that modernizes a 2000s R&B classic. With such a wide range of genres covered, it's hard to anticipate what will come next from him, but it's usually done tastefully.
After turning 19 and assembling a new team around him, he looks to reinvent himself yet again. As he ages, he only seems to improve. Compared to previous years, 2023 was relatively quiet for Renzo, but for 2024, he aims to hit the ground stomping.
