The Mexican duo Reptare is a shadow project in all of its possible angles, its musical aesthetic eclipsed with a anonymous identity keeps it a low-key profile media output.
Everything is about the music, which gives them tints based on the classic techno of Detroit but at the same time giving their personal touch with gloomy sound textures, always trying to maintain that anonymity. They have managed to create a sound filled with 707 rhythms shots and dim atmosphere-bathed narratives that speak to a complete extent for them.
Their productions has led them to play at some of the best events in Mexico and even had a presentation at the Boiler Room in Tulum back in 2015. To stay true to their essence, they decided to collect musical ideas and work in secret for a couple of years to generate a more solid sound. In 2017 along with some other friends they started to work on the development of their own label called “Short Attention” and released their first ep in 2018.
Behind all this there is a love for music and the desire to share it with the world and of course the search for a complex and unique personal sound, which makes their sound be so distinctive and recognizable.
