Retrogressive first formed in Queensland, Australia back in 2022; When founding members Eli Searle (Bass), Alex Baillie (Guitar), Lucius Ahcheen (drums), and Kaos Fletcher (Vocals and guitar) were just 15 years of age. Due to each of them having an extensive and diverse list of musical influences, Retrogressive’s style stretches across a vast range of genres which include but are never limited to, alternative rock, psychedelic rock, grunge, and metal.

As of early 2025, Retrogressive has made the mutual decision to go on an indefinite hiatus.
