The swedish artist Rex Ljungqvist made his debut in 2017 with the no-hit wonder "Jag älskar Östermalm", a satirical song about the posh vs. cred of Stockholm. In 2019 he released the concept album "Nätet" (The web) about the digital society of today. This was followed by "Lion bar" (a song about a legendary dive bar in Stockholm), included on the latest album "Rex n Roll". A descendent of the 17th century freedom hero Poul Ancher, he is known for defying the musical establishement of Sweden, just like his ancestor led a fight for freedom 350 years ago.
