Reza Golroo is an Iranian music producer and DJ renowned for his contributions to the Minimal Dark Techno scene. His musical journey began around 2010 , but it wasn't until 2014 that his career took a significant turn. That year, his debut track was signed by the reputable Karmic Power Records, prompting him to dedicate more time to music production.
Initially, Reza focused on House and Deep House genres, infusing them with darker atmospheres. However, in 2015, he transitioned to Minimal Dark Techno, a move that accelerated his career. He released several successful EPs under Fierce Animal Recordings, many of which charted in Beatport's Top 100 for Minimal Techno. His tracks also attracted remixes from prominent artists.
In 2019, Reza began collaborating with Jannowitz Records. Their partnership led to the release of the EP "Medusa," which became one of the most successful Minimal Techno tracks of 2020. "Medusa" reached #4 on Beatport's charts and amassed over 1 million streams on Spotify within eight months. It also featured on Spotify's premier Techno playlist, Techno Bunker, for nine months.
In 2021, Reza launched his own record label, Fade To Black, aiming to release fewer tracks but through major labels, further solidifying his presence in the global techno scene. Despite residing in Iran, where public performances of techno are illegal, Reza continues to produce and release music, contributing significantly to the international techno community.
