Richard Kings is a Cameroonian born dallas-based Afro-folk singer, songwriter, guitarist, and cultural ambassador whose music bridges continents and generations. Singing in Lamnso, English, French, and Italian, and fluent in German and Pidgin English, Richard weaves together tradition and modernity with a sound that is both authentic and global. Across a career spanning two decades, he has released four acclaimed albums: Melody Agora (2003), Triple Heritage (2006), Light Shine (2016), Ngo’nso (2024) His music has taken him to international stages such as the United Nations General Assembly (New York, 2010), the Shanghai World Expo (2010), the Pan-African Festival of Arts and Culture in Algeria (2009), and the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (2007). A master guitarist and storyteller, Richard blends Afro-folk guitar rhythms, soulful melodies, and multilingual lyrics to create songs of hope, belonging, and cultural pride. His performances are as much about community connection as they are about music, often incorporating audience participation, call-and-response, and heritage storytelling.
