New York City is known for being the birthplace of the musical genre hip hop. Hailing from this great city, the world has been introduced to many talented artist. The borough of Queens has produced many of these artist, from LL Cool J and Run DMC, to Nas and 50 cent. On that list from Queens, is Christian Hip Hop pioneer R.I.C.H better known as Richie Righteous (Richard Ishmael.) Born in Guyana and raised in Queens, R.I.C.H has used his musical gift to speak boldly about faith in Jesus. He also shares life experiences to inspire audiences all over the world.
Over the years, Rich has sold independently over 80,000 records and has toured over worldwide. His talked about performances and ability to preach has landed him on well known networks like Tbn and Bet. He has also been featured on projects like the Bible Experience and American Bible Society Elements of Life project.
R.I.C.H has blazed trails at home and internationally, and toured in countries that include The USA, The U.K., Canada, St. Kitts, Antigua, Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Cayman Islands, Guyana and Tortola. With all of this, R.I.C.H is now the lead pastor of Church City USA.
R.I.C.H is happily married to SherryAnn Ishmael, his wife of nearly 15 years and is the father of 4 beautiful children. Sehven, Savannah, Shai and Silas. R.I.C.H is still demand by many organizations and he continues to spread the Gospel to where ever the door may be opened.
