With an infusion of modern sonic sensibilities, New York City-bred recording artist, Rick Rocker manages to crack open the time capsule on all we know and love of rock and roll. Heavily inspired by giants like Bon Jovi, Rocker’s music takes listeners on a trip down memory lane while steering us through his every day life of love, hope, and triumph. Rocker’s previous releases include his acclaimed EP, “Love Turn” (2020), which has set the bar for his forthcoming project due to begin production in June 2022.
His 2020 EP release,“Love Turn” was created in collaboration with brilliant producers, Red Triangle (Charlie Puth, Green Day, 5 Seconds of Summer) and Joey Auch (Rachel Platten, Erin Bowman, Decora), who aided in Rocker’s necessity for a sonic catharsis through one of the most turbulent experiences of his life, his mother's close brush with a cancer diagnosis.
While fans agree that Rick Rocker seems like he’s taken to music like a fish to water, his journey actually began with just a $50 guitar named “Thor” that was gifted to his older sister, the musician of the family at that time. She taught him a riff to practice which he later learned was Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters”, a foreshadowing song title considering that Rocker’s love of the artform continues to fuel him to this day. “Within the genre of rock, you can do anything.” - Rick Rocker
