Rico 2times

Rico 2times is a 25 year old rapper from the Eastside of Indianapolis, Indiana. He has been developing a considerable buzz the last few years and has accumulated around 3.9 million streams in total.

Being from the Midwest, Rico attributes a lot of influence from fellow Midwest artists like Babyface Ray (Detroit) and G Herbo (Chicago). However, Rico found a way to make his sound stand out. His delivery is sort of a choppy whisper, a flow that’s very uncommon and can sound incredibly hard but pleasant to the ear if done correctly. Rico executes this difficult flow perfectly and is able to use it to communicate a range of themes from hustling on the streets to falling in love.

One song that really helped Rico breakout was, “Sliding Thru Da Raq,” posted exclusively as a music video on YouTube. A couple other big songs include “TT Top Music - Bonus Track,” featuring Detroit street rap icons, Los & Nutty, “Topside,” produced by Detroit super producer Top$ide, and “Simply,” where Rico raps over a Gucci Mane “Lemonade” beat sample. -Luke Snail
