Rico Davis

Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, Rico Davis has persevered despite hard times. Born and raised in 2x U.S. murder capital Camden, New Jersey, Rico’s source of escape was his love for writing music, dancing, and singing, for which he was frequently bullied. It was not until Rico was accepted into the Creative & Performing Arts High School in South Jersey that he received the community support and acceptance he deserved. It was during his 10th grade year as a member of their exclusive choir, that they won the esteemed International Days of Coro Competition in Verona Italy, competing against choirs from 30 participating countries. This experience led Rico to devote himself to his music passions. In June 2017, after years of hustling through New York City, Davis scored a million dollar deal with indie label Young America Entertainment and in 2018 released his first single "Do U Wanna" from his bass heavy debut EP “The Golden Ratio: Volume One”. To date, volume one of this two-part series has garnered almost a million combined streams across Spotify, Tidal, YouTube, and Apple.

Following the success of his first release and the departure from his label family, Davis sought out healing and began the recording process of his sophomore EP The Golden Ratio: Volume Two. “I want to make a positive contribution through my music – Provide a soundtrack to people’s lives when they want to celebrate, fall in love, or when they need confirmation that they will get through hard times'' says Rico.
