Rigorous Proof

Rigorous Proof is a "Post Modern Alternative Rock" outfit from Reno, Nevada led by the mercurial guitarist and singer, Johnny "Harpo" Bailey and stoic and pragmatic Adam "Lando" Landis on Keys and Vocals, rounded out by Jesse Lee Gaddis on bass, and solidified by Jake "Cactus" Hull on drums. Rigorous Proof plays music that blends a love for the old and the new, with lyrics pulling from narratives of triumph, despair, and sardonic wit. Rigorous Proof truly equals the sum of their collective record collections as you're just as able to pick through their music to find Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, T. REX and Jamiroquai on one track and possibly Spoon, The Kinks and the Deltron 3030 on another.


The band released their first EP in November of 2011. Titled "Songs From East 8th St," the EP is a fast jaunt through the tales of a first love doomed for infamy. The follow up LP, "Perspectives," was released in January 2015 and is a sonic journey through the perspectives of space, time, love and hate that we call the human endeavor.


The followup, 2020's "Postmodern Apocalypse" sees the group finding themselves through Bailey's disillusioned eyes and razor sharp tongue, venturing through the commercial wasteland of 21st century life and love. The 1st single, AK-47, has already shot onto terrestrial radio across the west coast and streaming across the world to critical acclaim.

The band is hitting the studio for the followup to Postmodern Apocalypse in Winter 2023/2024.
