Born in New York and raised in Nevis by Nevisian parents, R.I.L Shxfty bridges two worlds — the grit of the city and the soul of the islands. Music caught him early; by 4th grade he was already writing lyrics, and by 6th grade he was recording rough cuts on a voice app just to share with friends. Their reactions sparked a lifelong drive.
Through high school, Shxfty sharpened his sound with nothing but old headphones and a laptop. In 2021, he hit the studio for the first time with BreezyLf and Kosi Da Kid, and that same year, performed live before ever recording a professional track — proof that his passion runs deeper than his resources.
Influenced by artists like Juice WRLD, Alkaline, and Najeeriii, Shxfty fuses trap and dancehall into a vibe that’s both emotional and energetic — music you can feel and move to. Collaborations like “Live Large” (feat. Hi Light) and “Outta Order” with Bamma Dan highlight his growing versatility and his commitment to representing his Nevis roots.
Now emerging as part of the new Caribbean wave, R.I.L Shxfty continues to rise — creating from pure passion, persistence, and vibe.
