Amir, or known as 'rima' (backwards), is a lo-fi beatmaker and producer from Halifax, Canada. The Iranian-Canadian musician combines the serenity of jazz and mellow hip-hop beats to produce timeless music. Amir started his music journey in 2019 after deciding to join SoundCloud and to contribute to the lo-fi community. His first album release was 'frozen forest.'. After a successful start, rima released 'vibrance.', 'white.', and 'journey.', which was supposedly going to be his last release at the time. It was no surprise that rima still had the drive and passion to produce lo-fi. His last three releases have been significantly impactful to the lo-fi world, particularly his 'tranquility.' album. His latest album release, 'limbo.' (2022), making waves across all platforms. With lofi growing at an exponential rate, rima's end goal is to be on the global radar and to normalize lo-fi in all environments (i.e., airports, malls, restuarants, etc.).
