Rio firstly appeared as an underground rapper in Athens, Greece during the early 00s. He was a member of the group Fovies along with fellow underground rapper <a href="spotify:artist:2t6NEGChLyMUnGnW1LupcS" data-name="Mani">Mani</a>. Later, in 2007, both became part of the iconic Greek Rap supergroup <a href="spotify:artist:2BoYZXRotRYXi6ZVNlUt5Y" data-name="Bong Da City">Bong Da City</a>, leaving their mark in the fast-evolving local scene. In 2015 <a href="spotify:artist:5521NezFH11BqC62R1WCWW" data-name="Rio">Rio</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2t6NEGChLyMUnGnW1LupcS" data-name="Mani">Mani</a> re-created their previous group, this time named <a href="spotify:artist:1tHNXjqv2f4qfAldD1hF5I" data-name="Fi Vita Sigma">Fi Vita Sigma</a> with Dj Mode as a new addition. <a href="spotify:artist:5521NezFH11BqC62R1WCWW" data-name="Rio">Rio</a> was part of FiVitaSigma’s two albums “ <a href="spotify:album:4fgJKnVAuFzZfBaovacpTr" data-name="Toso Konta Sto Telos">Toso Konta Sto Telos</a>”(2015) and “<a href="spotify:album:0BSzTL2pFoQ5IjuGL6g7ZJ" data-name="Cosmos">Cosmos</a>” (2016). Moreover, his two personal projects “<a href="spotify:album:4JQuw0UFw46ZO4PF83zeI4" data-name="To Paidi Anthropos Mora">To Paidi Anthropos Mora</a>” (2013) and “<a href="spotify:album:3RIrLoWr6vF0rq5S49Pzwu" data-name="Edo Pou Niothei Kaneis">Edo Pou Niothei Kaneis</a>” (2020) offered him recognition as a solo artist.
