Risk1

Risk1 is a Dj, digger and producer from Pontypridd, South Wales. Started out in his teens with his first crew Nightshift Productions (NSP) in the late 90s providing scratches and djing, supporting acts such as Jehst, Dalek & Oddisee. Starting out on a Korg es-1 sampler and an 8 track, it wasn't until he got an MPC when he really started making beats.

After many years with NSP, they disbanded and he went on to form Connections in 2008 with Planit Marz, Oort Kuiper and YS - with huge stage presence and huge energy, Connections always brought something to the stage playing many live shows around Cardiff supporting the likes of SonnyJim, The Disablists and metabeats.

Never stopped making beats and always on the hunt for new records, he has also performed as a solo artist chopping soul samples and recreating beats live on the MPC.

Risk joined Bard Picasso in February 2021.
