River Smith

River Smith – Singer/songwriter/comedian proves that the days of multi-hyphenate performers aren’t over just yet. Born and raised in New Orleans to two working class parents, River grew up in a home filled with plenty love, music, and laughter. When he wasn’t painting or drawing, he was making people laugh. When he wasn’t making people laugh, he was writing and singing songs. Having been blessed with much older parents than his peers, his musical knowledge reaches back further than most of his cohorts. This allows him to draw from the influences of classic Soul, Funk, and R&B music; including his greatest musical influence -- Luther Vandross. Just like his musical idol, he strives to make timeless music that can be enjoyed by all generations.
