Riversun is the Norwegian duo created by vocalist Bethany Forseth-Reichberg and saxophonist Zakarias Meyer Øverli. Together with their band consisting of Kai Von der Lippe (Why Kai), Ola Øverby (Fieh, Needlepoint) and Joel Ring (Trondheim Jazz Orchestra), they blend together impulses from jazz, pop and hiphop.

The duo played together for several years in the band tigerstate, but had for a long time wished to create something new with Zakarias’ jazz background and Bethany’s pop/rock background. The collaboration has lead to the making of a whole album which will be released in October 2026. Following the release of the album, the band will go on tour in the fall of the same year.

The music is greatly inspired by the honest and pure music of Susanne Sundfør, to the more groovy and powerful music by Michael Brecker and Cocteau Twins. With pulsating and dans worthy rhythms, Zakarias uses the saxophone as an accompaniment instrument and play chord progressions that Bethany effortlessly can sing over.

This spring they released «A Day or Two - demo» and played a debut concert at the renound Vossajazz, to great reviews. Audun Vinger wrote:
